NEW: The 25 for 52 Challenge: 1,500 off road miles in a year

"I ride for passion. Cycling is too hard to do just for the money." - Paola Pezza

Big Mountain Riding is a state of mind. It is more about how you ride your mountain bike than it is about what you ride or where you ride. Big Mountain Riding features epic challenges of distance and of technical trails.  Big mountain riders pedal their bikes up the mountain to ride down. They get where they want to go under their own power. Those who try to ride it all on their trail bikes, 29ers, singlespeeds, all mountain rigs and freeride machines are welcome to learn more about our passion. The site features reviews of big mountain riding bikes, gear and trails. You’ll find tips and tricks to improve your own all mountain riding skills. We also post event coverage of some big mountain riding epics in Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina. Dig into the site by clicking on one of the pages listed at the top, or through a category – you’ll find them on the right hand side of the page. You can also keep track of updates to this site via an RSS feed, found at the top of the right column. Let us know what you think via the Comments feature. I got in a good ride @ Anglers Ridge this last weekend. And stopped in the Bike Medic shop. It was nice to see riders who enjoyed what I’ve built. The vid on your home page is of my cedar wall @ Tar River. I think everyone enjoyed the Berm Run too.

Drop me a line and we can talk about what eelse I can build for people.
